What is POP? POP stands for Perseverance, Ownership and Practice.
What does that mean for kindergarten students? It means we encourage our students to keep trying, that it is okay to make a mistake, that we learn from mistakes and we keep going.
For this trimester, we are working on getting students to learn the routines in the classroom, on the bus, on the playground and in the hallway. Ownership is knowing the routine and following it on their own. Perseverance is not giving up to learn the routines and asking for help when needed. Practice is learning by doing something over and over until you can do it to the best of your ability.
Mack the Moose helps us to learn our routines as well as the expected behaviors while we are at school and on the bus.
The students have been doing a great job of demonstrating their skills as young learners.
