Important information

 Back To School.png

After a wonderful summer vacation, I am excited to start a new school year and meet my students!   My goal is to make your child's school experience fun and educational.  To achieve this, you and I need to work together so feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.  You will receive weekly newsletters to keep you informed about classroom activities.

Tina Schofield is my teaching assistant for both sessions.  She brings enthusiasm and creativity to the classroom.  Many other specialists will be in and out of our room working with children.  These include speech therapists, occupational therapists, reading teachers and the school nurse.

Each child should have a backpack that's large enough to carry a snack, library books, projects and a folder.  The folder that is provided should be checked every day for notices and schoolwork. Please do not send pencils, crayons, markers or scissors to school as these materials will be provided in the classroom.

Please send in a small healthy snack and drink for your child each day that your he/she can manage independently.

Moose Hill no longer celebrates birthdays with snacks.  Instead, the birthday child receives a crown, a special sticker and a book.  He/she also picks a buddy to walk down to the office to get a certificate and new pencil.   Summer birthdays will be celebrated in June.

We will be going outside every day, weather permitting.  Please have your child wear sneakers, preferably with velcro.    Once winter is here, we will switch to a twice-a-week schedule and the children will wear their snow gear.
