August 11, 2022
We welcome children and their families to their classroom for Kindergarten Orientation on Monday, August 29. At that time, you and your child will visit the classroom and meet your teacher and other children who will be in the class. The following will be the schedule for Kindergarten Orientation:
1:00 – 1:45 pm
2:00 – 2:45 pm
The first day of school is Tuesday, August 30. The AM session meets 8:42 – 11:25 am and the PM session meets 12:35 – 3:18 pm. Please be sure to check the bus routes and schedules at Londonderry.org to find your bus stop and the approximate time your child will be picked up. You and your child should be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes prior to the estimated time of arrival. For drop off, please be on time to the bus stop. We cannot drop off a child at an unattended bus stop. Be sure to have your identification ready until the bus driver gets to know you.
If your transportation information has changed, contact the office immediately. Any bus changes made at this time may not be in place for the first day of school. It takes the bus company time to set up bus routes and make any changes. Bus routes are posted via a link on the Londonderry School District website at www.londonderry.org.
We know the first day of school can be difficult for parents and guardians of young children. Having a positive outlook will help your child feel more comfortable and confident as they start this new school adventure. During the first week or two of school, the buses do not always run exactly on time, so please be patient as we all adjust to this new schedule. Your child will be returned safely to your home even if it’s a little later than anticipated. We will take good care of your child.
Please send your child in with a medium-sized backpack, a nutritional snack, and a drink. The backpack should be large enough to hold a folder, library books, a snack, and a drink. We ask that your child is well rested to help them meet the demands of their day.
Additionally, this year’s Open House will be on Thursday, October 13 at 6:00 pm.
Kindergarten is a fun and exciting time for children. We have supportive and caring teachers and staff, and much is accomplished throughout the school day. Our hope is that you and your child will enjoy being part of our Moose Hill Community. We look forward to a year of learning and growing together!
Have a smile on your face and love in your heart.
